 Louise Barrington
Louise Barrington is a
highly experienced commercial mediator and
arbitrator with extensive expertise in international
law. From 1992 - 2000, she was Director, Institute
of International Business Law and Practice,
International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Paris, and
founder and Director, ICC Asia, with responsibility
for the International Commercial Arbitration
service.
Her expertise in
commercial dispute resolution has been recognized
through several academic appointments including
faculties of Law in Europe, the University of Ottawa
and, currently, the School of Law, City University,
Hong Kong,
where she teaches Commercial Dispute Resolution and
Company Law and is the author of articles on Asian
and international law and a frequent speaker at
international business conferences.
Ms. Barrington is a
Member of the Bars of Ontario and New York,
qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales, a
Chartered Arbitrator and an Accredited Mediator,
Chair of the ICC Task Force on Small Claims
Arbitration, Chair, LawAsia International Trade &
Arbitration Committee, a Director of Aculex
Transnational Inc., and is fluent in French and
