Stephen Raymond
Stephen Raymond is a full-time
arbitrator and mediator in the labour relations and
employment law field. He is Vice Chair of the
Ontario Labour Relations Board, where he is a
respected neutral, adjudicating matters under The
Ontario Labour Relations Act, The Employment
Standards Act, and The Occupational Health
and Safety Act.
He
also has an active private mediation and arbitration
practice, encompassing collective bargaining issues,
coroner’s inquests, workplace safety and insurance,
wrongful dismissal, and workplace human rights.
Mr. Raymond practiced employment law for a decade at
a top employment law firm prior
to becoming a full-time
mediator and arbitrator. He is a Member of the
Ontario Labour Management Arbitrators’ Association,
Executive Member of the Labour Law Section of the
Ontario Bar Association, and an Advisor to Canada
Law Book on Federal Labour and Employment
Legislation. Mr.
Raymond has
been an instructor in the Trial Advocacy Program at
Osgoode Hall Law School and in the Employment Law
program at Seneca College, and is a frequent
lecturer before the Advocates Society on mediation
and arbitration matters.
