Teri Kirk

Teri Kirk is a lawyer in Ottawa, Canada. Prior to becoming a dispute resolution professional, Ms. Kirk carried out a litigation practice involving individuals, corporate parties, and government departments and agencies. Ms. Kirk was appointed by the Government of Ontario as the Vice Chair and acting Chair of the Health Services Appeal Board of Ontario, adjudicating hundreds of disputes relating to insurance coverage, liability and quantum under the Health Insurance Plan between insured parties, the insurer, medical professionals and their governing bodies, over a 3-year period.

Ms Kirk holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and a Masters in Public Administration focusing on the delivery of justice services, and has been certified as an arbitrator by the Arbitration and Mediation Institute of Ontario. Ms. Kirk is Founder and President of NovaForum Dispute Resolution Services Group including its specialty services, InsuredClaims™, Workplace Mediation/MédiationTravail™, and the Electronic Courthouse™. In this capacity, Ms. Kirk has designed model dispute resolution systems and facilitated hundreds of dispute resolution services in a wide range of areas including insurance, workplace disputes, and contract and commercial matters.
