Tim Ellam is highly experienced in telecommunications, information technology, and power matters throughout North America and Europe. He has been active resolving disputes under Power Purchase Arrangements (PPAs), under Energy & Utility legislation, under Broadcasting and Telecommunications legislation, and before the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). Mr. Ellam has also facilitated settlements in respect of patents, licensing, and a broad range energy and technology-related disputes.

Mr. Ellam is the author of several articles and texts on e-commerce, communications law, and multi-jurisdictional issues. Recently he appeared as a speaker and panelist at the ITU Americas Telecomm 2000 in Rio de Janeiro and at ITU Africas Telecom 2001 in Johannesburg. Mr. Ellam is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales, the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, the Federal Communications Bar Association, and the International Bar Association.
