Addressing Special Needs

At this Step, the Parties customize the process as required to address special needs.

Customization:

The Electronic Courthouse has developed a standardized process that is best in class. Our process is continuously reviewed and improved to reflect our customers’ feedback. Some Parties may require some customization to address specialized needs. These optional “upgrades” fall outside the templated process and therefore may attract additional costs.

The Electronic Courthouse's consent is required to ensure that any customization does not jeopardize the fairness or integrity of your Resolution Process. Consent of the other Party is required if the proposed change results in additional costs to the other Party.

Customization options are as follows:

  • Additional Hours: The Electronic Courthouse's standard process includes 6 hours of your Resolution Professional’s time - 4 hours for the Resolution Session and 2 hours to prepare the Resolution Report. Most Parties find the 6-hour time period to be optimal. Shorter time periods are not sufficient and are therefore not offered as an option. Parties may purchase longer or additional Resolution Sessions in 2-hour blocks. The fee includes the services of your Resolution Professional and your Case Manager, telecommunications charges, use of the ResolutionRoom, and related charges.

A fee of $400 per Party per 2-hour block applies.

  • Translation: Either party may engage The Electronic Courthouse to translate its documents, or any aspect of the service. Translation costs are borne by the Party requiring them.  As translation services tend to increase the time required for the parties to communicate, consider adding 2 hours to your 4-hour resolution session. (See "Additional Hours" above). The Electronic Courthouse uses technology-enabled translation services to keep costs to a minimum.

A fee of cost + 15% applies.

  • Videoconferencing: The Electronic Courthouse's Resolution service includes a voice conference and Web meeting room during your 4-hour Resolution Session. Most parties find additional videoconferencing to be unnecessary. If the Parties also wish to view each other, this option is available as follows:
    • If the Parties have video conferencing equipment, additional viewing can be arranged.

    • If the Parties wish to attend at a videoconference center, facilities can be rented.

    A fee of cost + 15% applies.

  • Audio Records and Transcripts: The Resolution Session is recorded to allow parties to order an audio record of the Session in CD-Rom format.  Parties are deemed to consent to the recording unless The Electronic Courthouse is advised otherwise in writing.  There is no cost to set up the recording.  The cost to order an Audio record is $100 per party.  The record must be ordered prior to your Resolution Session.  Preparation of a written transcript is an additional cost that depends on the length of the call, number of participants, and other factors.

Order any  CUSTOMIZED CHANGES to tailor your resolution process for your needs.
